A Historic Portrayal at Dover Library

The event

Local storyteller Chris Hart will present a program titled “The Rush of the Torrent” at 6:30 PM on Thursday, May 15 in the community room at the Dover Public Library.  During the program, Hart will portray Rev H.L.Chapman who served as the Methodist pastor of Johnstown, Pennsylvania during the great flood of 1889. He will recount many horrifying details of the tragedy, including how his family survived by retreating to the attic of their Franklin Street home.

This program will be held on Thursday, May 15 at 6:30 PM in the Community Room at the library, located at 525 N. Walnut Street, Dover.  Register online at www.doverlibrary.org/events or call the library at 330-343-6123.
