The event

The Tuscarawas Valley Civil War Round Table will meet on Thursday, September 8th, at 6:30pm, at the Dover Public Library. The featured presenter will be Kelly Mezurek, who will present, “Black Men in Blue: The Civil War, Ohioans, and the United States Colored Troops.” This presentation focuses on how Ohioans reacted to the enlistment of African American troops, the Ohio black communities’ response to the national conflict, and the impact of their service.
