The Friends of the Homeless of Tuscarawas County will host a community meeting Wednesday, January 4 to explain to the public the services offered by the organization and why it is seeking a change in zoning regulations to build a new shelter in New Philadelphia. The meeting is open to the public and will be held at 7:00 pm Wednesday at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church Parish Hall. Shelter Executive Director Calvin White and Friends of the Homeless Board President Rev. Joe Svancara will be among those on a panel. The panel will answer questions from the audience.
