Dover Library Announces Lock In for Teens

/ July 25, 2025

The event

The Dover Public Library invites local teens to the Invent Your Own Fun Lock-In on Friday, July 25 from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Teens entering grades 6-12 are invited to this free after-hours event featuring food, games, and crafts. Registration is limited to twenty teens, and parental permission is required for the event. Interested patrons can contact the library at 330-343-6123 for more information or visit www.doverlibrary.org/events to register online.

This year, the lock-in will feature free pizza, a kindness walk, a multimedia art project, and group games in the library. Participants are also welcome to bring board games and snacks to share.

“I always look forward to our annual Lock-In! It’s a great way to celebrate the summer and have fun with some creative teens,” says Teen Services Manager Liz Strauss.

This special teen program is funded in part by a 21st Century Afterschool Learning Grant with Dover High School, which supports communities in creating learning opportunities outside the classroom, such as the Dover Public Library’s 3D printing services, snap circuits in the Maker Lounge, and monthly Teen Subscription Boxes.

The Dover Public Library is located at 525 N. Walnut St in Dover, across the street from Dover High School and online at www.doverlibrary.org.
