DOVER PUBLIC LIBRARY PRESENTS THEIR 5TH ANNUAL DINO DIG

/ March 8, 2025

The event

It’s time for dinosaurs, fossils and gems at the Dover Public Library.  The library will hold their 5th annual Dino Dig on Saturday March 8th from 10:30am to 12pm in the Community Room.  Kids of all ages are welcome to attend with the age emphasis on children 2-12years old.  The first 100 children will receive a take home Dino goody bag.
The yearly event offers children some fun Dino activities such as uncovering fossils.  There will also be Dino bone excavating and placing Dino bones together to form 3 different dinosaurs.  “Don’t get too close to our volcano and molten lava river,” said Jen Gardner, Children’s Department Manager.  ” Kids can look for gems along the edge of the lava river to take home with them also. “Each year we try to add something new to our day, ” added Gardner.  “This year we are adding the dinosaur bone assembly site,” stated Gardner. All young paleontologists will be able to stop to refuel with a small snack.
No registration is necessary but any questions about the day’s events can be answered by calling the library at 330-343-6123 or go to www.doverlibrary.org
