Free Speakers Series – Colonel William Crawford

The Fort Laurens Free Speaker Series continues with a new event on Saturday, August 13th, at 11am. Historical reenactor Mark Cory will present a first-person impression of Colonel William Crawford, who fought alongside George Washington during the French and Indian and Revolutionary Wars. Even though he retired from the Army in 1781 he was called back to help end fighting between settlers and Native American tribes in Ohio. Unfortunately that would cost him his life. Reservations are not required.
