About every 40 seconds, someone in the United States has a heart attack. Some people having a heart attack wait before getting help, or even feel it would be embarrassing to have a “false alarm”. Others are so afraid of having a heart attack that they tell themselves they are not having one. During this course, participants will learn some of the causes and warning signs of heart attack, what to do if you think someone is having a heart attack and the differences between a heart attack and cardiac arrest.
The first program will be held on Monday, September 8 at 6:30 PM in the Community Room at the library, located at 525 N. Walnut Street, Dover. To register, call the hospital at 330.602.0779.
