The Dover Public Library invites makers of all ages to the grand opening of the Maker Lounge, the library’s makerspace, on Saturday, January 20 from 10am to 4pm. Members of the public are invited to explore the equipment available for us in the space and to enter to win a door prize. Registration is not required. The Maker Lounge features free to use equipment, including a 3D printer, a sublimation printer, a heat press, a Cricut Maker, an XTool engraver, and a CNC router, plus starting materials so patrons can learn how to use each machine. The Maker Lounge also houses recording equipment, VR headsets, robots, and more activities that can be used in-house to learn about science, technology, engineering, art, and math.
