Photographs from Adelante Arts Camp on display
The public is invited to see 40 unique photographs that were taken by ten Latino students who participated in the Adelante Arts Camp this past summer. These colorful photographs will be on display in the community room at the Dover Public Library throughout the month of January. In addition to the exhibit there will be a special program about the exhibit on Monday, January 16th at 6:30pm. Instructors will talk about when the Adelante Arts Camp when the Tuscarawas Arts Partnership offered ten Latino students an opportunity to learn photography and capture images which represent their daily lives. The students attended a 3-hour class every Tuesday and Thursday nights for eight weeks and thanks to generous sponsors, were given camera kits. They learned how to use the cameras and how to edit their work. When they were done, a book was put together entitled Through Our Lens: A Glimpse at our Latino Culture which included their photographs.
