The event

Tuscarawas County sports fans won’t have to tune their radio to hear “The View from Pluto” because sportswriter Terry Pluto and WKSU host Amanda Rabinowitz will be at the Dover Public Library on Wednesday, September 18 at 6:30 PM to share their passion for Northeast Ohio sports. They will talk about our favorite teams, coaches and players. A book signing will follow the program.

Terry Pluto is a sports columnist, a faith columnist, an author and public speaker. In addition to writing for the Cleveland Plain Dealer, he has written more than 30 books about Cleveland sports and faith, including The Curse of Rocky Colavito and Loose Balls. He was named Best Sports Columnist in the National Headliner Awards in 2020 and has been Ohio Sportswriter of the Year 11 times. He broadcasts weekly sports commentaries with Amanda Rabinowitz on WKSU and other Northeast Ohio NPR stations.

Amanda Rabinowitz has been a reporter, host and producer at WKSU since 2007. She is currently the local host of “All Things Considered” and produces Ideastream Public Media’s local independent music podcast, “Shuffle.” She and Pluto provide weekly commentary about sports in Northeast Ohio during a weekly program called the “View From Pluto.”

This program will be held on Wednesday, September 18 at 6:30 PM in the Community Room at the library, located at 525 N. Walnut Street, Dover.  Register online at www.doverlibrary.org/events or call the library at 330-343-6123.
