Program on Carbon Capture at Dover Library
The event
Dr. Randi Pokladnik, environmental scientist and retired research chemist and educator, will present a program titled “The Carbon Capture Boondoggle” when she will share the facts about the process of capturing carbon dioxide from smokestacks and injecting it into the ground. “This might sound like a good idea to help with climate change,” says Dr. Pokladnik, “but a closer examination shows that this process will not address our carbon dioxide emissions and is in fact very dangerous and very costly.” The program will be held on Tuesday, September 16 at 6:30 PM at the Dover Public Library.
Dr. Randi Pokladnik is a life-long resident of the Ohio River Valley. She has several degrees including a master and a doctorate degree in Environmental Studies. She is a retired research chemist and educator. She volunteers with several grassroots groups in the region including Faith Communities Together for a Sustainable Future (FaCT Ohio).
