Tunes and Tales program – Tusc. Co. Libraries
The event
The Tuscarawas County Public Library System and the Tuscarawas Philharmonic are excited to announce a new partnership called Tunes and Tales. The goal of Tunes and Tales is to introduce classical orchestra culture to area children and will run for ten weeks in conjunction with the Library’s storytime cycle. Throughout this ten-week cycle, the Philharmonic will provide musicians every other week who will share a book featuring their instrument as they play periodically during the reading. Following the storytime, the musician will play a chosen piece of music and children will be able to craft their own instrument to play.
The program is set to run on Thursday mornings at 10am in the Main Library in New Philadelphia from January 18th through March 21st. Registration is required. You can register by calling the library at 330-364-4474 or online at TuscLibrary.org
