Tuscarawas Valley Civil War Round Table
The event
The Tuscarawas Valley Civil War Round Table will meet on Thursday, October 10 at 6:30 PM in the Community Room at the Dover Public Library. The featured speaker will be Mark Dawidziak and Sara Showman from The Largely Literary Theater Company, who will present “Ghosts of the Civil War: Shades of Blue & Gray.” This program will feature ghost stories from South Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee and Ohio (with a special section about Abraham Lincoln). Literary selections include pieces by Walt Whitman, Ohio native Ambrose Bierce and Emily Dickinson. The Largely Literary Theater Company is a touring company dedicated to promoting literacy and literature and for the past twenty years have toured all over Ohio, Michigan, Virginia, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Maryland, New Jersey and New York.
The mission of the Tuscarawas Valley Civil War Round Table is to educate the community about the American Civil War, to preserve Civil War heritage and to remember those who struggled for their cause.
