The event
The Tuscarawas Valley Civil War Round Table will meet on Thursday, April 9 at 6:30 PM in the Community Room of the Dover Public Library, located at 525 N. Walnut Street in Dover. The featured presenter will be Dan Welch, who will present: “Tales of a National Park Service Ranger at Gettysburg National Military Park.” Welch will share about his career as a Civil War historian and about his position in Gettysburg with the National Park Service. This program will take place via Zoom.
Dan Welch has served as editor of Gettysburg Magazine, National Park Service ranger at Gettysburg National Military Park, Education Programs Coordinator with the Gettysburg Foundation, and an instrumental music teacher with several public school districts in northeast Ohio. He is the co-author of two works in the Emerging Civil War Series, The Last Road North: A Guide to the Gettysburg Campaign, 1863 and Never Such a Campaign: The Battle of Second Manassas, August 28-30, 1862.
