Veteran’s Day Program

The event

The 2023 Veterans’ Day service, honoring all veterans of the United States Armed Forces, will be held on Saturday, November 11th, at 11am, at the Courthouse Square in New Philadelphia. The guest speaker will be Judge Adam W Wilgus. Judge Wilgus proudly served with the 2nd Battalion, 174th Air Defense Artillery Regiment, of the Ohio Army National Guard. The New Philadelphia Marching Quakers Band, the Delphian Chorale, and the Central Elementary School Choir will perform. The rifle squad will fire three rifle volleys and the band will play Taps. Following the service, the public is invited to the New Phila VFW Post Canteen for the traditional bean soup luncheon. After the luncheon, the Post will hold a short ceremony to dedicate the new Chuck Moorehead Veterans Memorial Garden, located on the Post grounds. All are welcome!!
