Helpers sought for local race to benefit Habitat for Humanity

| March 21, 2022

DOVER (WJER) (March 21, 2022) – The director for next month’s run for home half-marathon is recruiting volunteers for race weekend.

Matt Ritzert says they’ll need more than 100 of them to assist with everything from registration, to handing out packets, to directing runners and traffic on the course.

“We also have people help us out at the finish line passing out medals and awards and food.”

He says people interested in doing this can send an email to racedirector@runforhome.org.

“We can get you hooked up with our volunteer coordinator and get you all squared away.”

Ritzert says they often get help from different civic groups and organizations that volunteer at the run for home races. They’re happening April 9th and 10th from Tuscora Park.
