In the IVC South, undefeated champ Garaway took top honors in the conference postseason awards. Receiver Jenson Garber is the Player of the Year and Jason Wallick is the Coach of the Year. Wallick led the pirates to a third straight undefeated regular season. Garber is a big play receiver who went over 1,000 yards for the season in Friday’s playoff win.

In the IVC North – the champs – the Malvern Hornets – got the top awards. The Player of the Year is senior Dylan Phillips. Including last week’s playoff game, Phillips has 72 catches for over 1,000 yards and 12 touchdowns this season. His coach Matt Chiurco is the Coach of the Year for leading the Hornets to a 9-1 regular season record and 5-0 in the IVC North.

Six IVC teams are still alive in the playoffs, led by Garaway. The Pirates are playing East Knox at home Friday in a Division VI regional quarterfinal matchup.
