Kids prepare for another school year to get underway
TUSCARAWAS CO. (WJER) (Aug. 18, 2025) – Students are getting back to the routines of going to bed and waking up early to catch the bus for the start of another school year.
The Indian Valley School District already resumed classes last Wednesday – about a week earlier than everyone else. Superintendent Ira Wentworth says that’s because he likes having the school year end earlier in the spring.
Classes in Strasburg get back in session this Wednesday. Superintendent Vince Lindsey says the community is invited to the district’s annual Back to School Bash at the campus from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. today. He says the cafeteria’s famous tray cheeseburgers, cookies, water, and more will be available for all who attend.
Dover, New Philadelphia, Claymont, Tusky Valley, and Garaway also go back this Wednesday.
