Midvale man arrested after fight at Dover Flea Market

| March 21, 2022

DOVER (WJER) (March 21, 2022) – Police had to break up a fight at the Dover Flea Market on South Tuscarawas Avenue Sunday.

Dover Police say a 36-year-old Midvale man and a 38-year-old Dover man who were acquaintances apparently had a falling out near the front of the store just after 2 p.m.

The Midvale man, Andrew Grier, reportedly pulled out a knife but didn’t use it. He was arrested for aggravated menacing and taken to the Tuscarawas County Jail.

It’s the second time he’s been charged with aggravated menacing this year. Grier pleaded no contest to aggravated menacing for a January incident in Midvale and is scheduled to serve 10 days in jail on that charge starting April 25.

Monday morning, he pleaded not guilty the latest aggravated menacing charge, a first-degree misdemeanor. He was being held in the Tuscarawas County Jail on a $10,000 bond.

Police say neither man was seriously injured, other than some bruises.
