Miss Clayland making herself part of the community

| January 24, 2022

2022 Miss Clayland Emma Rose Lewis and WJER's Ryan Pastircak

DOVER (WJER) (Jan. 23, 2022)  – The reigning Miss Clayland says she’s been staying busy ever since winning the crown in October.

24-Year-Old Emma Rose Lewis of Cleveland visited this week to meet with local sponsors and stop by the Ryan and Michelle Morning Show on WJER.

Lewis says after competing in the pageant in 2019, she was surprised to win it in 2021 since she entered just to have fun.

The opera singer says participating in these scholarship pageants brings her closer to the goal of attending the Cleveland Institute of Music to study voice performance and vocal health.

Lewis says she was the victim of a sexual assault in 2019. Her social platform is about consent education and survivor support.

Lewis was born in Corpus Christi, Texas, and has also lived in Saudi Arabia and Pennsylvania.

She will continue representing the Tuscarawas Valley as she prepares for the Miss Ohio Pageant in Mansfield this June.
