Uhrichsville (WJER) (June 19, 2023) – The current Miss Clayland titleholder had a respectable showing at the state competition over the weekend.

Miss Clayland Program Director Martha Campbell says Caitlin Seifert had a top-10 finish at the Miss Ohio Pageant Saturday, winning two scholarships totaling $1,500.

“Once she got into the top 10, that meant she actually got the opportunity to compete again that evening for the actual title,” Campbell said. “She did not place in the top five, but she did an outstanding job.”

Campbell says the winner also has local connections. Miss North Coast Madison Miller, of Coshocton, was crowned the new Miss Ohio.

“One of the things I love about this program is how you get to see these young women grow and just really blossom, become great and outstanding young women contributing to their society and their community,” said Campbell. “Madison has been one of those young women.”

Campbell expects to get Seifert back in town before her reign ends.

“We’re looking at her possibly doing some school readings in the fall and also possibly a couple more parades before she gives up her crown, she said.

This year’s Miss Clayland scholarship competition is September 30th and applications will be available starting July 1st.
