New Philadelphia’s Zach Rothrock is the OCC Defensive POY
New Philadelphia senior linebacker Zach Rothrock was named the Ohio Cardinal Conference defensive player of the year Thursday.
Quaker quarterback Keaton Fausel, lineman Boston Crowell, and defensive standouts Jaiden Boltz and Garrett Dillon-Rine made the OCC first team.
Etnie Richardson, Carson Long, Hudson Osborn, and Pete DiDonato made the second team for New Phila. Brody Gilland, Jordy De La Cruz, and Myles Tyson were honorable mention.
West Holmes quarterback Morgan Smith is the OCC football offensive player of the year, and his teammate Kyle Maltarich is the OCC special teams player of the year. The coach of the year is Mansfield’s Chioke Bradley, who led his team to an undefeated conference record.
