Newcomerstown mayor recaps 2024 progress and what’s to come

| March 18, 2025

NEWCOMERSTOWN (March 18, 2025)  – The village’s mayor is looking back on the accomplishments of 2024 and looking ahead to this year.

Pat Cadle says one highlight from last year was the village receiving a nearly $800,000 Appalachian Community grant, which will help make the downtown appealing to visitors and potential businesses.

Also from the past year, Cadle pointed to the expansion of the nature park to include an old fishing hole that had been shut off for almost 30 years.

Cadle says the village has a long list of projects for the upcoming year. Enterprise Drive is among the streets scheduled for paving. The village also will install the last of the radio-read water meters.
