Power outage brings curtain down early Tuesday at PAC
NEW PHILADELPHIA (WJER) (Sept. 27, 2023) – Those who were in attendance for The Foolers magic show at the Performing Arts Center Tuesday night are having to wait an extra day to see its completion.
That’s because the PAC learned close to 40 minutes before showtime that American Electric Power would be cutting off service in New Philadelphia from about 8 to 10 p.m. to remove a tree from a transmission line.
The lights at the PAC did go out around 8 p.m. and the audience was sent home.
PAC General Manager David Mitchell says The Foolers will perform the rest of the show tonight, with a few unplanned extras.
People who didn’t originally have tickets can still buy them at the PAC website.
