Provisional license awarded for marijuana dispensary on West High Ave.

| May 22, 2022
The Ohio Pharmacy Board has granted a provisional license to Ratio Cannabis LLC for a marijuana dispensary at what’s currently the West End Drive-thru on West High Avenue (WJER Radio)

GOSHEN TWP (WJER) – A cannabis dispensary could be going in along one of New Philadelphia’s routes despite the city’s ban on marijuana-related businesses.

The Ohio Pharmacy Board last week granted Ratio Cannabis LLC a provisional license to put one in what’s currently the West End Drive-Thru at 1145 West High Avenue. The property has a New Philadelphia mailing address but is part of a small unincorporated area between West High and Maple Avenue.

The facility must comply with the rules and regulations of Ohio’s Medical Marijuana Program and pass a final inspection before it can open. It’s one of 70 proposed dispensaries awarded provisional licenses in a series of random drawings last Monday and the only one in Tuscarawas County. The WJER News Department is scheduled to interview Ratio Cannabis CEO Luke Marino Thursday.
