Survey to help coalition develop community health improvement plan

| July 5, 2022

DOVER (WJER) (July 5, 2022) – After surveying residents about Tuscarawas County’s top healthcare needs, Healthy Tusc now wants to know how people feel about living in the area.

The coalition, which includes the local health departments and hospitals, is administering an online quality of life survey. Chairperson Jennifer Demuth says it asks people their level of satisfaction with various aspects of life in the county.

“It’s a quick survey. It takes less than five minutes to fill out, and Tuscarawas County residents can indicate: Do they think they have access to healthy foods? Do they feel safe in the Tuscarawas County community? Do the feel the Tuscarawas County Community is an area that is very supportive of them? Do they feel they have good access to healthcare”

She says Healthy Tusc conducts one of these surveys every three years, using the responses in its efforts to develop a health improvement plan for the community.

“This is a great community but there’s always room for improvement, so we need the help of each and every Tuscarawas County resident from all walks of life to participate in this free, anonymous online survey so that we can continue to grow and improve as a community.”
