NEW PHILADELPHIA (WJER) (Jan. 18, 2024) – Police are asking for the public’s help tracking down the second suspect in last Friday’s shooting incident at a busy intersection.

Fernando “Fey” Helena, 39, is wanted on multiple firearm-related charges for allegedly shooting a gun into the air out the windows of a moving vehicle that afternoon at West High Avenue and Sixth Street NW.

Helena is described as a light-skinned Puerto Rican male about 5-foot-9 and weighing around 225 pounds with brown eyes and hair. Investigators believe he continues to frequent the Tuscarawas County area and consider him to be armed and dangerous. They’re asking anyone with information about his whereabouts to call the station at 330-343-4488.

The other alleged shooter was 29-year-old Zachary Taylor of Newcomerstown, who was apprehended outside of a motel on Bluebell Drive the night of the shooting.
