Tuscarawas Valley Farmers Market 2022 season getting underway

| June 1, 2022

DOVER (WJER) (June 1, 2022)  – Another season of the Tuscarawas Valley Farmers Market starts up at the Tuscarawas County Fairgrounds today.

The weekly market is back for the 14th year and will continue from 3 to 7 pm on Wednesdays through mid-October.

Chair Mark McKenzie says they’ll have berries and some different kinds of vegetables and leafy greens, initially.

“Opening day, for all intents and purposes, is a little thin because it truly is the beginning of the season,” says McKenzie.

McKenzie says they have eight new full or part-time vendors this season selling items such as baked goods, duck eggs, meat, flower bouquets, and CBD oils and honey.

The farmers market is also offering a mix of food trucks, musical acts, and the monthly cooking demos, with the first one set for June 8th.
