United Way to support area non-profits through Day of Caring
NEW PHILADELPHIA (WJER) (April 9, 2025) – The United Way of Tuscarawas County has recruited plenty of help for its annual Day of Caring this week.
President Sarah Spies says about 145 volunteers will perform yard work and spring-cleaning tasks for area non-profits Friday morning.
Those volunteers – all sporting orange T-shirts – will be out at the Dennison Depot, Schoenbrunn and Zoar villages, the Dover Public Library, and other locations.
Events Manager Hannah Hartman says some businesses see this as a team-building activity and give their employees time off to volunteer for the occasion.
