Water line break closes part of Route 800

| April 22, 2024

DENNISON (WJER) (April 23, 2024) – It has been a busy day for the Twin City Water and Sewer District.

State Route 800 was closed all day between the U.S. 250 and Pleasant Valley Road intersections because of a water line break, and there was another around the same time along South Third Street in Dennison. Mayor Greg DiDonato says something jolted the lines in the system, causing a chain reaction.

“We started our morning out with a few water breaks in different parts of town, but we have a serious one out there on the intersection of Jewett – which is state Route 800, goes through the park – and McCook. It’s kind of lifted a portion of the road, the one side of the road, and a lot of water was pouring out of there.”

That part of 800 was back open Monday evening
