Work on Johnson Drive Bridge resuming; could cause delays

| March 21, 2022

UHRICHSVILLE (WJER) (March 21, 2022) – A bridge project on U.S. 250 south of the city should be wrapping up at the end of April.

The orange barrels will be back out in the meantime as work is scheduled to start again at the Johnson Drive Bridge just west of the McCauley Drive interchange this coming week. ODOT District 11 spokesperson Lauren Borrell says there will be lane closures on 250.

“During this work, they will be restricting traffic on U.S. 250. That will be either the driving or passing lanes. It may switch so we just ask for folks to pay attention through there, watch for those barrels, and slow down in the work zone.”

She says traffic over the bridge also will be impacted.

“For those that travel across Johnson Road, be aware that there may be some daily closures of the bridge and you may need to detour at times.”

Borrell says the bridge work has been an ongoing project that appeared finished, but there’s still some completion work to be done.
