Fatal shooting in Warwick Twp. under investigation
WARWICK TWP (WJER) (Dec. 13, 2023) – The Tuscarawas County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal shooting incident. No foul play is suspected.
Initial call records indicate it was reported as an accidental shooting that happened when the 62-year-old victim was cleaning his handgun.
The incident was reported in the 3000 block of Orchard Road Southeast near the village of Tuscarawas at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Authorities say the victim was shot in the chest and pronounced deceased at the scene by EMS personnel.
A sheriff’s detective and coroner investigator also responded.
