New Philadelphia mayor provides new restaurants update

NEW PHILADELPHIA – New restaurants continue to be at the top of the New Philadelphia Mayor’s Report.
Mayor Joel Day Monday confirmed the news about a Dunkin’ restaurant coming to the city.
“The former Long John Silver’s on Bluebell Drive NW has been sold,” he said. “And it will become a Dunkin’ Donuts restaurant. That’s what WTUZ Radio recently reported after speaking with New Philadelphia Infinity Representatives realtor Terry Everett, who made the sale. He told Z-Country that Dunkin will need a few months to remodel the building before opening for business.
“Meanwhile, on the other side of West High on Bluebell, demolition is underway to clear the Travelodge property for construction of the new Chick-fil-A restaurant. And yesterday I noticed that workers were carrying tables into Brandon’s Italian Grill on East High Avenue. So, I expect it will be opening in the near future.”
Dunkin’ and Chick-fil-A are still months away from opening.
