Snowy roads Tuesday led to hectic morning for state troopers
NEW PHILADELPHIA (WJER) (Dec. 3, 2025) – The State Highway Patrol is telling us just how difficult it was for drivers on the road Tuesday morning due to the snow.
New Philadelphia Post Commander Lt. Johnnie Maier says his troopers in a 12-hour period responded to 15 crashes and just over 60 calls for service in all. Most of those were for vehicles that slid off the road, with no damage or injuries reported.
He says two or three of the crashes, however, did involve minor injuries.
Maier says those drivers who slide off the road could get ticketed for failure to maintain control, depending on the circumstances.
