Rainbow Connection Telethon sets new record, raising over $368,000
NEW PHILADELPHIA (WJER) (March 9, 2026) – The Rainbow Connection’s 53rd annual telethon concluded Sunday with another remarkable show of generosity from the community. Paired with the organization’s weeklong auction, the event raised more than $368,000 by the time the broadcast wrapped up.
Rainbow Connection Director Perci Garner, joined on air by board members and volunteers, announced that this year’s total surpassed last year’s record by roughly $16,000. Garner expressed heartfelt appreciation for everyone who contributed—donors, volunteers, and viewers who continue to support the mission year after year.
All proceeds from the Rainbow Connection Telethon help fund programs and services that support disabled and disadvantaged residents in Tuscarawas County throughout the year.
