SUV Crashes Into New Philadelphia Home
NEW PHILADELPHIA (WJER) (Nov. 2, 2026) – A small SUV slammed into a home in New Philadelphia Sunday afternoon, causing an estimated $15,000 in damage.
Fire Captain Matthew Graham says crews were called around 4:11 p.m. to the 400 block of Front Avenue SE, near Fourth and Front, where they found the vehicle up on the front porch. The impact knocked out several support posts and damaged the exterior wall.
Firefighters stabilized the porch roof with rescue jacks and cribbing before helping the driver out. A passenger had already gotten out on their own.
Residents were home but not in the area of the crash, and no one inside was hurt. A restoration company secured the front of the house so the family could remain there.
New Philadelphia police are investigating the cause.
