Ekphrastic Poetry workshop at Dover Public Library

The event

On Friday, April 21st, Sharon Fish Mooney, poet, author and member of the Ohio Poetry Association, will present a unique Ekphrastic Poetry Workshop at 6pm at the Dover Library. The word Ekphrastic refers to a rhetorical exercise where poets look at a piece of visual art and then write about that experience. Mooney will display various pieces of artwork, present examples of ekphrastic poems and encourage participants to write their own poems.
