Fracking program at Dover Library
The event
Dr. Randi Poladnik will be at the Dover Library on Wednesday, July 12th at 6:30pm, to present a program called “How Fracking Will Harm Ohio’s Parks and Forests.” She will talk about all the ways that fracking in or near Ohio’s State Parks and Forests will harm these ecosystems. On January 6th, 2023 Governor DeWine signed House Bill 507 which requires state agencies in Ohio to lease agency owned or controlled oil and gas resources for development. Several parcels are currently being considered: 302 acres of Valley Run Wildlife Area in Carroll County, 66 acres of Zepernick Wildlife Area in Columbiana County and 9000 acres in Salt Fork State Park .
