US 250 back open between Dennison and Tappan

| October 25, 2022

DENNISON (WJER) (Oct. 25, 2022) – Drivers can again get between the village and Tappan Lake without leaving U.S. 250.

ODOT District 11 spokeswoman Lauren Borell in a Facebook video posted Monday announced that the detour signs and barricades were coming back down.

“Good news here on 250 today: We’re at the end and thanks for being patient with us.”

Parts of Route 250 have been closed in both directions since early July for a more than $10-million rehabilitation project. Borell says workers will remain in the area for a bit longer taking care of the berms and approaches which may mean temporary lane closures.

“We do have some stuff that will be done. However, that will be done under flaggers… It will be open but you just need to take your time coming through here and watch for those folks that are out here working.”

Prep work also started this week for a bridge replacement project that will have State Route 542 closed North of Dellroy for 150 days. ODOT hasn’t announced a start date but anticipates the closure beginning in late November.
